According to UN data (2022), only 4% of the country's population recycles their electronic waste. The rest ends up in the trash, at transfer centers, or in landfills, which generates costs for municipalities for treatment and final disposal.
At the Jonathan Foundation, we are committed to providing help to children with disabilities and older adults. With the goal of raising social awareness and generating resources for our social work, we periodically carry out the Reciclaton campaign to collect electronic equipment and furniture.
With the goal of promoting social awareness and generating resources for our social impact programs and projects, we run a recycling campaign throughout the year.
By giving a second life to electronic equipment, furniture, household goods, and recycled materials, these donations allow us to positively transform the lives of our beneficiaries and contribute to the reuse, recovery, reuse, and recycling of these resources, thus reducing environmental pollution.
¿What can you donate for the Reciclaton?
Electronic Equipment: Cell phones, tablets, PCs, laptops, air conditioners, microwaves, modems, video cameras, computers, printers, appliances, among others.
Furniture and Appliances: Metal and wooden items such as chairs, tables, cabinets, drawers, cabinets, shelves, shelves, stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, televisions, etc.
Recycling Materials: Mainly paper and cardboard.
¿What do we do with electronic equipment and furniture?
The equipment and goods you donate have different uses:
Reuse: Equipment and furniture in good condition are recovered to equip the Foundation's facilities, social centers, schools, and homes for families in need. Repaired computer equipment is given to school-aged children and adolescents.
Appropriate treatment: Products that cannot be reused are managed by qualified environmental managers and receive appropriate treatment for scrapping, thus avoiding environmental pollution. The environmental certificate is issued.
Through the Reciclaton, Jonathan Foundation raises funds to provide nutrition and health services to 9,000 people across the country.
These funds allow for the purchase of food, wheelchairs, canes, and postural chairs for children with cerebral palsy, among other supplies. They also support other social projects we carry out.

All year round: You can bring your donations of electronic equipment, furniture, and materials to the Jonathan Foundation throughout the year.
Home collection: Businesses, universities, and organizations can arrange for the Foundation to collect donations from their homes.
